We're seeking a Catering Assistant to join our Sales Team and contribute to creating unforgettable events! What You'll Do: Assist the Wedding Specialist and Event Services Manager in organizing and executing events. Update Banquet Event Orders and function diagrams to ensure smooth operations. Interpret Group Resumes and input essential information into V1. Attend pre-conference meetings with the operations and sales teams, as well as other relevant hotel meetings. Communicate important group information and changes to hotel colleagues promptly. Visit competing venues to stay informed on market trends. Be available on property to assist colleagues and address any needs. Create and post event signage. Coordinate receiving, shipping, and delivery for events. Maintain and update room diagrams and ensure all supplies for group office setups are ordered and stocked. Understand all aspects of conferences as assigned by the department Director. Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure the success of events. Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in a similar position, ideally within a luxury setting; associate's degree in a related field is a plus. Flexibility with your schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication and organizational skills. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Attention to detail and proficiency with computer systems. A friendly, helpful demeanor with a commitment to exceptional guest service. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain a high standard of work. A proactive approach to satisfying and delighting our guests.
