Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The incumbent is responsible and accountable for maintaining the workflows for the billing process and revenue cycle. This position will work in Outpatient departments to improve charge capture, compliance and operational efficiencies. This position reports directly to the Sr Director Clinics and Support Services.

  • Accumulates information to prepare accurate and timely journal entries for the monthly close of the general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Dignity Health’s processes and procedures;

  • Responsible for the financial close of an assigned hospital including accruals variation analysis communication with the facility and final reporting;

  • Reviews and approves complex financial information for various reporting purposes both internal and external. This includes regulatory filings and audit information.

  • Reviews monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and account analysis that requires an advanced knowledge of accounting;

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years current experience in outpatient billing and coding and knowledge of the outpatient care revenue cycle operations required

  • An associate's degree from an accredited university or at least one of the following certifications : CPC, CCS, or CHC required

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required

  • CDM and revenue integrity functions training required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent operational experience preferred

  • CDM training in Cerner/MS4/GE preferred

Pay Range

$29.16 - $42.28 /hour
