Job Title: Shift Supervisor

Summary:Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all shift production employees and production process. Oversees training, upgrading production operators and performance evaluation. Performs administrative duties as required including maintaining employee attendance records and any other reports as needed. Helps to maintain the shift safety program and to ensure a safe working environment. Constantly follows quality and production and makes the necessary decisions to maintain maximum rates with high quality in an efficient time and manner. Coordinates with Maintenance for scheduled shutdowns and repairs in order to achieve the necessary maintenance work with the minimum operational losses. Inspects each line and checks the product is being run according to the specifications of the job, takes corrective action to resolve problems. Closes out production work orders and records production on a daily report.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure production process and activities related in production are complying with EHS rule and regulation

• Ensure quality of product is conformed to our QC specification.

• Lead team to investigate when product not conforming with the specification

• Process Hazard Analysis requires that engineers and maintenance leaders analyze the consequences of safety failures.

• Ensuring regular employees and contractors are well-informed of the hazards they face such as known potential fire, explosion or toxic release hazards related to the contractor’s work and the process.

• Review your safety procedures every time to perform pre-startup for both new and modified facilities. This rule applies even if the procedural changes only affect a single component or process.

• Ensuring the operators are periodic, documented inspections are required for several systems, including Pressure vessels, Storage tanks, Piping systems, Ventilation systems

• Needs to issue permits to employees and contractors who weld or perform other high-temperature work near covered processes.

• Ensuring each change also requires the following considerations: 1) the technical basis for the change. 2) The impact of the change on worker safety and health. 3) Necessary modifications to operating procedures. 4) The necessary time period for the change. 5) Authorization requirements for the proposed change.

• Produce the product according to plan with right quantity & right time.

• Response and support to achieve company and department goal and objective.

• Supervise & support operation team for trouble shooting

• Manage man power & daily work in production area

• Response for production data entry in SAP and ensure that all data record is accuracy.

• Training and on the job training for operators / contactors.

• Liaise with Engineering team to support NMI, NPI program.

• Supervise daily operation, provide EHS knowledge and increase EHS awareness to all shift staff.

• Manage shift information transfer during the shift change.

• Assist Production Manager for over time arrangement to support addition job in shift.

• Ensure safe workplace by implement/maintain 5S, Gemba board in assignment area

• Raise up the concern, suggestion and improvement idea which related to EHS, quality, reliability and productivity to improve safety and operation related

• Lead operation team to improve operation in term of EHS, process, quality, workplace, etc.

• Work closely with MTN team to ensure equipment/instrument in production area are in the good condition and completed the repair/PM work as timeline.

• Raise up the incident case or near miss and participate for investigation (if require)

• Supervise technician/contractor under assignment area to ensure safe operation, deliver good quality of product and ensure deliver the product as plan.

• Other assignment jobs.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

• High Vocational in Chemical, Polymer, Electrical, Mechanical, Production Technology or related fields. Engineering degree is a plus.

• More than 7 years working in operation field (or at least 3 years working in Momentive production

• Computer literacy and

• Fair command of English

• Safety consciousness

• Background from chemical industry and/or polymerization process is preferred, experience in shift operation management is advantage

• Shift supervisor must be completed the training and knowledge of operation in silicone polymer fluid or silicone sealant & rubber compounding or silicone emulsion with qualified evaluation.

• Shift supervisor must have the knowledge of DCS control or shall have the experience working as Board Man at least 1 year.
