As an Underground Miner at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to Anthony Hays, Superintendent, you will have the opportunity to:

Description:

• Drill holes in rock for the placement of explosives

• Load blast holes with explosives

• Perform pre-blasting and post-blasting functions

• Assist as needed in the mucking cycle (removal of broken rock)

• Install roof and rib support as required

• Install concrete framework and concrete placement

Requirements:

• Current 40 MSHA training.

• 1 to 3 years of construction experience is preferred.

• Must be eligible to obtain an Employee Possessor Permit from Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

• Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment with exposure to heights.

• Must be able to safely assess and mitigate or report hazardous conditions.

• Must be able to perform the work without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others.
