Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to be in Raritan, NJ.

Role:

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering for our Technology Services Applications Platforms and Engineering organization, based in Raritan, NJ. This role is pivotal in shaping our digital landscape through modern engineering principles and technologies, focusing on enhancing patient and healthcare provider experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads other managers and/or individual contributors, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations.

  • Supervises team member performance and contributes coding expertise to develop and deliver Software Engineering work that contribute to the company's overall revenue and profitability targets.

  • Defines strategy for the design and development of technology solutions and specifications to generate groundwork for Full Stack Chapter operations.

  • Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.

  • Enable greater CI automation and enact a set of controls for how we measure quality of output with the products and services we deliver

  • Experience in building and integrating products with platform, data management, API architecture/design, and Cloud Native technologies

  • Functional SDLC toolchain knowledge including, but not limited to, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and container-based deployment technologies

  • Lead a large engineering team through complex tech decisions with varying skills, expertise and tenure

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or related field; or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • Proven ability as a lead software engineer or equivalent.

  • Strong people management experience

  • Experience designing and building large-scale, distributed systems (Service Oriented Architecture).

  • Proficiency with Git-based source code management tools, such as Bitbucket.

  • Familiarity with AWS services like S3, API Gateway, Lambda, and more.

  • Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React and Next.js.

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins and Azure DevOps or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of reliability engineering and monitoring tools such as New Relic.

  • Strong ability to mentor and grow technical teams.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$137,000 - $174,250.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
