BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Under general supervision, performs confidential secretarial or managerial work of (basic / average / or considerable) difficulty requiring judgment and discretion. Follow established procedures and detailed written or oral instructions. Operate office technology as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

A. Demonstrate strict standard of confidentiality. Register students, maintain accurate student records, scan all information into each students profile. B. Maintain records and building budget, files and update any new students information in Skyward. Process correspondence, statistical, or technical reports. Prepare and complete all reports as assigned by supervisor. C. Respond to emergency situations and delicate matters effectively. D. Provide first aid and emergency care to students. E. Answer inquiries and assist in-building personnel and general public. F. Process correspondence, statistical or technical reports. Prepare and complete all reports as assigned by supervisor. G. Prepare and complete all purchase orders, requisitions, check requests and transfer requests. H. Receive, record, and/or route incoming calls. I. Administer medications following pre-established procedures after receipt of mandated district training. J. Initiate student accident reports/staff accident reports. K. Implement provisions of Emergency Care Plans (such as Epi-Pens and glucagon) as delegated by school nurse. L. Monitor and comply with federal, state laws and district policies and procedures. M. Document, insert students attendance on a daily basis, send truancy letters as needed, prepare truancy packets to States Attorney. N. Prepare all documentation and head up kindergarten screening. O. Enroll/place in classes/input all students into data base for beginning of school year. P. Edit new/retiring/leaving change of staff and class sections. Q. Check in all subs. R. Payroll for all classified/subbing staff, approve time sheets/submit each week. S. Prepares the office for a smooth start for a new school year, by having class lists ready/any documentation needed to teachers/supplies ordered.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is a full-time position and most of the work to be performed will be done in a usual office working setting. Day and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Also, there are four conference evenings a year working 4:00- 7:30 pm. T
