Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at Ramstein Arts & Crafts Center, Ramstein AB, Germany. This position does not offer logistical support. Plans, develops, prepares, coordinates, presents documents and/or trains classes for at least one skill falling under the arts and crafts umbrella, which may include but is not limited to paint, ceramics, pottery, quilting, knitting, scrapbooking, papier-mâché, macramé, flower arranging, or cake decorating. Responsibilities Plans, develops, prepares, coordinates, presents documents and/or trains classes for at least one skill falling under the arts and crafts umbrella, which may include but is not limited to paint, ceramics, pottery, quilting, knitting, scrapbooking, papier-mâché, macramé, flower arranging, or cake decorating. Other art or crafting skills will be considered. Writes, coordinates, and publishes or develops course outlines, handouts, visual aids, and other training related documents. Maintains a clean, neat, and safe work/classroom area, including set-up and tear-down of regular classroom and off-site special event classes. Maintains inventory of necessary supplies. Provides specific information on supply and equipment purchase requirements for all proposed class offerings to Director. Plans, prepares, and presents instruction in assigned areas. Lessons must reflect current trends in techniques and utilize various user aids to motivate students. Performs training need assessments. Evaluates training programs at all levels. Provides recommendations in development of monthly and master training schedules. Ensures maintenance of accurate training records. Collects and maintains relevant statistical data. Determines the best method for meeting training requirements to ensure full utilization of training quotas and resources. Keeps accurate personal enrollment/attendance records to assist in reconciliation of payment for services. Consolidates and evaluates result of feedback mechanism to ascertain effectiveness of teaching methods. Assist with the marketing of programs and provide ideas to enhance enrollment. Qualifying Experience: Must have a working knowledge of the procedure and practices of the discipline in which they instruct. Must also have experience which has provided practical familiarity with key elements of selected course instruction. Must be prepared to provide proof of experience, i.e., diploma, certification, etc. which demonstrates the ability to impart this knowledge to other individuals who are not familiar with the subject of the instructor's particular expertise. Must be able to conduct a positive and professional classroom atmosphere. Basic knowledge of running a class of 3-10 students and have good communication skills. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligible. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. LQA is not authorized. Post Allowance is authorized for Regular Full Time employment category. This is a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position carrying out Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities for the Air Force and Space Force. This position will be eligible for the use of the fitness center, lodging, golf course, bowling center, library, and many other NAF activities. This position does not offer logistical support.
