Description

Robert Half is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business-to-Business (B2B) Collections Specialist proficient in SAP for a long-term contract opportunity in Bergen County, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of payments from business clients using SAP's financial modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collections Management:

• Initiate and manage collection efforts for outstanding invoices from business clients.

• Contact clients via phone, email, and SAP system to negotiate payment terms and resolve payment discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and communications in SAP.

• Credit Analysis:

• Assess credit risk and establish credit limits for new and existing business clients.

• Monitor credit balances and collaborate with the credit department to evaluate creditworthiness.

• Reporting and Analysis:

• Generate aging reports, account statements, and other financial reports using SAP.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend strategies to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding debts.

• Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate prompt payment and resolve issues effectively.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and finance teams to ensure alignment on collections strategies.

• Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements in collections and credit management practices.

• Implement best practices and SOPs to streamline collections processes within SAP environment.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

• Proven experience as a B2B Collections Specialist, preferably with SAP proficiency.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and credit management.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in SAP ERP system and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
