At Copeland, we are searching for an exceptional Facilities Engineer to join our world-class engineering team. As a Facilities Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the flawless operation of our facilities in Ramos Arizpe. Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee the construction of new facilities, ensuring they are functional, efficient, and safe.

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all facilities and equipment.

  • Manage and supervise facility maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors.

  • Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability and implement solutions as appropriate.

  • Work with other departments to identify and prioritize facility-related projects and allocate resources accordingly.

  • Ensure that all facilities are equipped with necessary safety equipment and that staff is trained to use it.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, as well as expenses.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to other departments as needed.

  • Install production and support equipment in conjunction with Engineering and Production guidelines under direct supervision.

  • Maintaining smooth relationships with external departments through communication and cooperation

  • Report on status of assigned tasks at beginning, during, and conclusion.

  • Oversee activities to encourage good teamwork.

  • Responsible to improve equipment reliability and uptime.

  • Manage and monitor the purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of maintenance material. (include Tools, Subsidiary materials etc.)

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic circuit components, lubrication systems components, and pneumatic circuit components.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and HVAC systems

  • Experience in project management and new lines, including budgeting and scheduling.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in substations, Compressed Air, Chillers, UMAS, forklifts, Shipping docks, Firefighting system

  • Ability to management and administration of facilities technician.

  • Knowledge of the electrical Mexican Regulations.

  • Strong electrical and system engineering skills and knowledge and general mechanical understanding

  • Previous experience technical or technical support role

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven leadership experience

  • Previous project management experience

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)

Preferred education, experience and skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management or a related field

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering

  • Ability to understand drawing and specifications of electrical, mechanical systems.

  • Experience reading and troubleshooting machine electrical drawings.

  • Good organizational, project management, and presentation skills

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing fundamentals

  • Capital equipment procurement experience, including specification, purchase, qualification, and installation.
