Job Summary:

Test Engineer’s (I) have a focus on the system level. This role has a full technical responsibility for planning and coordinating complex projects. The Test Engineer will also assess the impact of projects on systems and take the steps necessary to minimize any adverse impacts. Test Engineers at this level will apply extensive technical expertise within Transmission or Distribution functional areas. This role will require identifying trends and creating system level solutions that require the use of ingenuity and creativity. These engineers must have competencies that enable them to write specifications for design and materials and have strong project management skills. Their decisions have operating company impact.

What we Offer:

The salary range for this position is starting at $30- $60 per hour - Commensurate, depending on relevant experience, education, and qualifications. We also offer semi-annual profit-sharing bonuses based on company profits to share in the mutual success! In the past, these have ranges between 3.5% - 11.5% of annual salary.

Who You Are:

  • 4-year BS Engineering Degree (ABET accredited degree)• Professional Engineer (PE) Certificate OR 6(+) years’ experience in testing, commissioning, orP&C engineering• 18-24 months as a Relay Technician Senior or equivalent or at a level of competency to bedetermined by management to be suitable for level increase• Experience in some level of project management• Valid Drivers License• Must be able to pass a standard background check and drug screen

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning of complex projects and assess the impact of projects on the system• Assess projects for any adverse impacts and use technical skills to fix these or minimize issues• Use technical expertise to identify trends within Transmission or Distribution areas• Generate test plans and procedures for projects• Write specifications for design and materials for projects• Use of various engineering software when working on projects including Adobe Acrobat Pro andvarious Transmission/Distribution application systems
