Ensono Associate Data Center Analyst in Raleigh, North Carolina

Position Summary

A Data Center Operations Analyst is responsible for system monitoring, production batch monitoring, workload throughput as well as batch and system task abend recovery for internal and external client MVS / ZOS / VM/VSE environments.

  • 12 hour “quad” (3 on 3 off/4 on 4 off) shifts (Nights and/or Days).

  • 16 week rotation from front half to back half of week.

  • Weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) and Holidays required as per Shift Schedule.

  • Occasional travel (approx 10%) as required to client site for knowledge acquisition of new business.

Position reports to Manager, Mainframe Operations.

Key Areas of Focus for this Role

  • Monitor multiple mainframe LPARs for exceptions or failures.

  • Escalate issues to the appropriate resource

  • Monitor mainframe batch schedules for critical paths, abends, or special requests. Escalate issues to the appropriate resource

  • Perform IPLs as requested

  • Assist with DR activities when needed

  • Properly escalate all events or incidents that may impact our ability to meet agreed service levels.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned or designated by Operations management.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in IT

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

  • Excellent written and verbal Communication skills

  • Ability to represent Ensono in a professional manner to clients

  • High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a modern ticketing system
