You will be part of the Global Enterprise Architecture team reporting directly to the Global head of Enterprise Architecture.

About You

The Digital & Technology team at CBRE is a forward-thinking and innovative team, currently leading a global digital transformation. We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to join the distributed team based in Dallas, navigate the business landscape, and craft a vision that turns ambiguity into clarity. The person must have a passion for solving complex problems and developing digital solutions that combine rich data with advanced technology to deliver insight at the point of interaction. The role requires modern agile-centric architecture approaches.

This position is multi-functional, requiring strong working relationships with multiple teams including Product Management, Technology, Data and Business Transformation teams. In addition to internal constituents, you may also work with customers and partners to understand the market requirements and to support the business, so superb communication (written and verbal) and a passion for crafting customer-centric user experience is important. Additionally, this position requires strong Real Estate investment management domain experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and support implementation of Agile Enterprise architecture services across various Digital Products and Data initiatives in lines with established technical principles, standards, and practices.

  • Work with technical teams, businesses, and end-users to optimally design modern applications, APIs, Data platforms. Help to choose accurate technologies based on business strategy, capabilities, and requirements, including application, data, technology, and integration architecture.

  • Lead the analysis and documentation of the current application and integration landscapes, creating future state architectures and roadmaps.

  • Creation and management of architecture artifacts and lower-level components.

  • Perform application demonstrations and technical presentations

  • Provide technical expertise to design scalable ETL, data lake, and data warehouse solutions, including addressing and resolving complex technical issues

  • Leading data architecture and design, data strategy to help support business objectives

  • Provide formal technical guidance and informal assistance to engineering teams

The Successful Candidate

  • Experience with investment management platforms, associated data ecosystems, and delivery of advanced modeling and forecasting capabilities.

  • Prior experience working for asset management companies and divisions

  • Experience with client reporting systems, sales and CRM ecosystems such as Salesforce, in-depth awareness and knowledge around fund modeling, forecasting, and portfolio management systems such as Argus, Anaplan

  • Expertise in data architecture and data governance

  • Awareness of emerging vendor and start-up offerings for fund analytics, fund modeling, and portfolio analytics with an ability to assess fit for CBRE Investment Management

  • Have an excellent technical and commercial understanding in the creation of technology solutions and outcomes for customers.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communications skills; you will often find in situations where you have to describe problem statements, solution options, your analysis and recommendations to a mix of technical and non-technical, and use strong influencing skills to gain consensus and an agreed way forward.

  • Ability to approach design with timeliness, cost, and quality factors in mind. Risk identification and mitigation, quantification, and qualification non-functional and functional requirements.

  • Deep application of data architecture, data design, data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical models

  • Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into technical requirements for data management systems

  • Ensure data security and compliance with all relevant regulations.

  • Driven digital transformation, roadmaps, target operating models, cost reduction, performance improvement

  • Proactive in identifying problems early and helping the team to prioritize results.

  • Self-motivated, inquisitive and quick to learn

  • Interest in, and focus on, customers and passionate about creating good user experiences

  • Good knowledge of agile software development processes

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree qualification, with strong quantitative background (STEM education background (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) AND/OR an MBA or equivalent experience preferred)

  • Deep knowledge of cloud architecture platforms (AWS, Azure)

Must Have

  • 8+ years of deep solution architecture, enterprise architecture experience

  • 5+ years of AWS/Azure data services,

  • 2+ years of implementing Web applications preferably using React and NodeJS.

  • 4+ years of database architecture with Relational database, preferably Postgres

  • 4+ years in data platforms and ETL, preferably, Snowflake, Snaplogic, Collibra, Allation, Informatica

  • Demonstrable experience with Real Estate Investment management tools e.g., Juniper Square, Dynamo, AppFolio or similar

  • Demonstrable experience in data architecture and design is mandatory

Desirable

  • 3+ years working in an Agile development environment pairing DevOps with CI / CD pipelines

  • 3+ years of exposure to modern technologies such as EV, VR, AR, MXR, Hyperautomation

  • 3+ years of experience in Real Estate Investment management domain

CBRE considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $235,000 annually and the maximum salary is $250,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
