For the role of Oracle Payments – Solution Leader we are searching for a motivated and passionate individual who can lead client engagements in consumer payments across a number of industries including restaurants, hotels, retail and healthcare. With your drive and a go-getter attitude, you will play a key role in driving the growth of Oracle Payments.

Oracle Payments provides end-to-end consumer in-person and online credit/debit card processing including onboarding, processing, acquiring and reconciliation, built into the mission critical applications of each Industry (i.e. Simphony POS for restaurants, Opera cloud for hotels, X-store for retail) and offers our customers a simplified commercial and support model.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the sales organization in each relevant industry in North America from both a functional, solution and commercial perspective in the consumer payments domain and enable selling Oracle’s market-leading consumer payments solutions. The candidate will be responsible for leading the sales cycle and will be responsible for the overall solution design to meet the business requirements and fulfill user stories, and for leading a team of cross functional resources through the sales cycle.

As a Consumer Payments Lead, the candidate should have extensive hands-on experience in various Consumer Payments domains including payment acquiring, processing and reconciliation, particular in the industries of restaurants, hotels, retail, healthcare and/or other consumer-led industries. This experience could have been with a bank /acquirer/processor with focus on one or more of these industries or with an IT product/services vendor, or a combination of both. Prior experience with IT products & solution in these areas will be highly desirable.

In addition, the Oracle Payments - Solution leader will also be responsible for developing thought leadership in the domain through research & analysis, industry engagements and client interactions. Being a thought leader, the Solution Lead will mold the thinking of our prospects as well as actively interact with Oracle Payments product management to give definitive product development direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand client business needs and requirements & proposing a solution for prospective customers by working closely with the industry GIU (Global Industry Unit) sales leaders, solution engineers, consulting and customer success teams.

  • Apply your domain expertise and the deep understanding of Payment Processing solutions to lead client engagements and demonstrate value to win business.

  • Own the solution design and Value Proposition on major client engagements.

  • Play an integral role in the sales process applying knowledge of products and their capabilities to assist sales executives in addressing client/prospect requirements.

  • Conduct fit-gap analysis with banks to assess fitment between their requirements and Oracle Payment solutions.

  • Conduct client presentations & demonstrations that are tailored to meet specific client requirements and business needs.

  • Respond to RFP/RFI (Request for proposal/information) for consumer payment processing / acquiring solutions.

  • Prepare Requirement and Functional specifications. Influence product development based on prospect interactions, market trends, local country requirements.

  • Communicate product information, changes and direction to sales managers and reps.

  • Understand current business/industry environment (both industry level (hotels, restaurants, healthcare, etc.) plus banking) including relevant regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs.

  • Take a lead to drive business/increase revenue in the North American region to increase the pipeline.

  • Drive solution assurance process on behalf of sales executives to obtain client/prospect requirements, identify and prioritize functionality gaps with the sales executive and the client/prospect, initiate request-source process to obtain estimates to address functionality gaps or define appropriate workarounds, and gather all necessary information for internal suppliers to commit to performing the conversion.

  • Drive cross-LOB opportunities and works with the other LOBs in order to provide the best possible solution and proposal for a client’s requirements.

  • Create and maintain opportunity-specific product presentations and collateral.

  • Provide feedback on client/prospect requirements to product managers on regularly scheduled basis.

  • Interact with vendors and other organizations where appropriate to evaluate third-party vendor opportunities and solutions.

  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

Desirable qualifications, experience, knowledge:

  • Experience in Payment Processing / Acquiring in one or more Consumer industries (i.e. restaurants, hotels, healthcare, etc.). Solid understanding of banking & finance fundamentals, banking products life cycle, accounting and back-office operations.

  • 10 to 15 years consistent track record in providing solutions to the consumer industry, fintech or banking sector in the North American region

  • Must meet skills and experience mentioned above in responsibilities.

  • Functional domain experience and expertise in one or more of the following product/vendors.

  • Relationship management experience with enterprise customers for payment acquiring / processing, either in a presales or delivery role (e.g. as a Consultant or Project Manager).

  • Strong Leadership Skills to engage & support field sales teams effectively.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written).

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Excellent relationship building skills.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to understand and capture business requirements.

  • Must be willing to travel (>50% of work hours).

Responsibilities

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $38.85 to $85.67 per hour; from $80,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
