House of Blues Facilities Supervisor in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Summary:

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Works directly with the Ops Manager to perform day to day operations of the venue, as well as, day of show duties

  • Work through and correct guest/co-workers concerns and complaints regarding maintenance related issues

  • Follow up with all managers to ensure that service standards are met

  • Perform opening/running/closing duties

  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area and reporting any issues encountered

  • Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to team members

  • Create pre-show/show/post show duties and relay information from management directly to OPS staff

  • Assist in the clean up at the end of the event and returning the venue to its default state

  • Supervise other staff, create checklist/guidelines for other staff members

    WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

    Required:

  • Working knowledge of high-volume/high-stress operations

  • Skills in guest relations/staff relations- Assessing and anticipating needs of guests/co-workers

  • Prioritization of duties and effective communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/issues at one time effectively, with an upbeat attitude

  • Read guests in order to anticipate their needs

  • Turn potentially negative situations into positive ones

  • Communicate well with team members and managers and foster an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie

  • High School Diploma required

    Preferred:

  • Experience in a live music environment

  • Minimum of 2 years supervisor experience

  • Understanding of all trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

    Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful

  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, working on your feet, and different weather conditions

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs using proper lifting techniques
