The Opportunity

The Ally Credit Card Business Analytics team is looking for highly motivated and experienced Manager- Card Business Analytics to join a team focused on building a cutting-edge Cloud Analytical Platform by providing top line reporting solutions, Business Intelligence Analytics, Industry Analysis, competitor benchmarking and monitoring solutions to key stakeholders across the Business. Key responsibilities for this team include Portfolio Analytics, KPI reporting, actionable insights from our data, building self-service dashboards, industry analysis and risk appetite framework monitoring. We are looking for a leader with experience leading global teams and a track record of strong cross functional leadership. This leader should bring excellent strategic thinking, a demonstrated ability to build and develop leaders, and roll up their sleeves as appropriate to achieve team goals. The right candidate will be able to use these skills while managing multiple priorities and make an impact in this critical area of the business.

Ally work locations - Wilmington DE, Charlotte NC, Lewisville TX - Hybrid scheduled with 3 days in office and 2 from home

The Work Itself

  • Develop a strong team culture, and drive impactful insights for the business
  • Drive accountability by ensuring high quality monitoring, analysis, and continuous improvement and KPIs
  • Responsible for the development and execution of credit portfolio analytics and risk monitoring activities, including analytics and process enhancements
  • Responsible for creating enhancing and maintaining reports on key risk metrics, concentrations, and stratifications of the loan portfolio
  • Perform research to prepare and provide clear and accurate information as requested by auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders
  • Anticipate regulatory risk regularly monitoring the regulatory landscape
  • Responsible for preparing ad-hoc risk management reports as assigned
  • Provide support in the completion of Credit Approval Report packages
  • Prepare industry analysis and benchmarking
  • Prepare Risk appetite frameworks and monitoring

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific, or financial background; plus 4+ years of relevant work experience required
  • OR Masters/PhD plus 2 years relevant experience

  • Experience with SQL and Python required

  • Knowledge of Programming Languages SAS or R - preferred

  • Experience in Power BI

  • Excellent analytical skills and strong quantitative skills
  • Team player who can establish excellent working relationships with peers and other teams.
  • A dedicated, self-starter, who thrives in a fast-paced organization often managing multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.

Base Pay Range:

Emerging: 110000

Experienced: 145000

Expert: 180000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
