Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Maintenance Systems Manager to join our MAKE Asset Management Organization located in US Large Molecule Drug Substance Site located in Wilson, North Carolina . This role will support a new site startup, as such it may require periods of heightened travel to support these activities. This travel would be during the site ramp up period and dependent on functional needs and project timelines (in some cases frequent travel and or short terms stays with vendors, sister companies, partners).
While this role will ultimately support the site operations located in Wilson NC, this role will also be required to support the project phase across both design & construction. For the project design phase, the role will require you to be present with our design teams in the Greater Philadelphia region. Once the design phase is completed, this role will support the construction and operational start-up of the site. For this, you will be required to be on site in Wilson, NC. Based on your current location the hiring team will work with you to determine travel and relocation arrangements. In steady state, we expect travel to be less than 25%.

Position Summary:
The MAM (MAKE Asset Management) organization operates as one integrated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Execution Systems solutions. We operate in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing and Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) and in partnership with key internal/external network.
The Maintenance Systems Manager reports to the Maintenance Senior Manager and provides hands-on process, data and people leadership in the following services areas: SAP master data; spare parts inventory, process, purchasing, vendor and cost; maintenance planning and scheduling, contractor oversight, maintenance data contextualization. Responsible to apply enterprise, platform and site-specific strategies that support equipment reliability and maintenance excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Responsible for planning, designing and implementing maintenance programs to optimize the availability and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment.
· Plans and coordinates maintenance engineering work including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications.
· Direct supervision of maintenance staff and contractor personnel, including SAP Master Data Analyst, Storeroom Coordinator and contractors.
· Establish maintenance strategies that drive safe, reliable, effective, efficient and customer-centric maintenance operations, including: kitting of parts, ownership of bill of materials, mater data management, like-for-like replacement parts management, planning & scheduling, KPIs, and data contextualization.
· Accountable for the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Process. Ensures that corrective work orders are properly planned, and that weekly schedules are developed, performed and tracked with metrics /KPI’s.
· Maintain a culture of participation and compliance with EHS policies and procedures, including, use of PPE, LOTOTO, timely reporting and investigation of EHS incidence and accidents, and commitment to safety.
· Maintain a culture of GMP compliance by ensuring that all site SOP’s are followed and that all deviations, events/Non-Conformances are reported, investigated and corrected in a timely manner. Manage the completion of CAPA’s and provide SME support as necessary.
· Lead SAP CMMS documentation management, updates and improvements that support PM, calibrations, and corrective maintenance plans.
· Establish voice of customer feedback loops to ensure ease of use, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
· Identify and implement continuous improvement, simplification, and cost reduction opportunities.
· Actively engage with MA LM/SM Platforms, GETS, DOTS, E&PS, and consultants to benchmark and establish best practices and creation of standards.
· Lead/Support Projects and deliver agreed scope, time, and cost.
· Support the digitalization roadmap improving the maintenance data contextualization residing in the CMMS.
· Lead the visualization of metrics and dashboards to facilitate performance dialogues of different tiers and cadences.
· Ambassador of Faster Forward, Design Thinking, and/or Kaizen as tools and techniques needed to drive continuous improvement with the ultimate goal of creating value by eliminating waste, improving flow, reduce inventories and instill an agile mentality.
· Support development plans of direct reports, including developing training plans.
Qualifications -
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT Science or related is required
Required:
· A minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of maintenance activities in GMP manufacturing, utilities and facilities equipment.
· Detail and goal oriented, teamwork, customer-focus, thorough understanding of GMPs and regulatory requirements.
· Influencing skills, partnering and collaboration skills, analytical skills, conflict and risk management skills, critical thinking and good oral and written presentation skills are required.
· Knowledge of cGMP’s for Maintenance in an FDA regulated environment.
· CMMS experience (SAP or Maximo)
· Experience with Stockroom or Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, Procurement, Contract Management, Logistics, KPIs, Data Contextualization, Planning and Scheduling, Kitting, Project Management, CMMS, Regulatory Audits, Maintenance and/or Reliability Excellence
Preferred:
· People management experience.
· Project Management experience.
· FPX certification and/or Six Sigma and/or Lean experience.
· Experience in green or brown field GMP MFG facility start-up including process systems, automation, utilities, facilities, and operations.
