Our client is currently seeking an interim Director of IT. This key role will oversee and manage all aspects of the organization's information technology infrastructure and services. The position requires a blend of technical acumen, strategic vision, and leadership skills to ensure business objectives are effectively aligned with the technology initiatives. Responsibilities include managing IT operations to meet customer requirements, supporting and maintaining existing applications, and driving the development of new technical solutions.

The successful candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal skills, inclusive of facilitation, negotiation, and collaboration. Essential qualities also include exceptional planning, organization, and communication skills.

Requirements

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies aligning with the company's goals and objectives, and articulate a proactive vision for company growth.

• Infrastructure Management: Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and telecommunications systems.

• User Support and Training: Deliver technical support and training to end-users to maximize productivity.

• Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks and cybersecurity vulnerabilities and devise effective mitigating strategies.

• Application Management: Oversee the selection, deployment, and support of software applications across various departments.

• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard the company's digital assets and confidential data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

• Budgeting and Resource Management: Manage the IT budget, including hardware, software, and personnel expenses.

• Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment and mentor a team of IT professionals.

• Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external service providers, vendors, and technology partners.

• Technology Evaluation: Continually assess new technologies and their potential impacts on business operations for potential adoption.

• Streamlining and Standardizing: Enhance performance, reliability, and scalability across the company.

Requirements:

• Minimum of five years of experience in a technology support organization.

• At least four years of management experience leading technical support staff. •

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Familiarity with business operations.

• Willingness to travel 5-10% as required.
