Siemens Energy HVDC Service Contract Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina

Our business unit has signed the first HVDC offshore service agreement in the US and you can join this pioneer and ground-breaking project! Be a part of the change as a HVDC Service Contract Manager for Grid Technologies Service Team working from offer phase to execution.

Work with an exciting group of personnel to help North America make the transition to FACTS, HVDC and renewables, such as Solar, Wind, or Battery Storage, so you will be a component of the long-term solution to a Greener North America. You will achieve long term success in providing the North American market generational support on the investments made today for our Services provided tomorrow.

How You will Make an Impact

Developing sales proposals and cost models for the Grid Technologies Service projects to determine proposal feasibility and ensure competitiveness in the market, focus on HVDC Service contracts.

Develops, edit, and write original proposal responses and other sales-related documents.

Collaborate with Global team in Germany to ensure complete bid package to customers.

Validate and endorse the technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid.

Being the single point of contact and authorized to lead all aspects of the service agreement.

Coordinate planned service activities, including corrective and preventive maintenance, for all systems and equipment covered under the contract.

Handle communication with customer’s operations and maintenance manager.

Meeting with customer’s team to discuss agreement results, such as field reports.

Support customer with regulatory and/or compliance reporting of reportable event within time specified by regulatory agency.

Being the representative in the service agreement review meetings.

Follow-up and coordinate key issue resolutions and technical support.

Consolidate and report critical metrics agreed within the service agreement (if any applicable).

Support customer to run spare part inventory.

Regularly review change requests and the proposed procedures, documentation version control and flow.

Coordination with Employer for the personnel and equipment logistics to site.

Ensure all plans, reports and procedures are reviewed and submitted to Employer.

Collaborate with team members in Germany to ensure completion of the work packages.

Validate and endorse the technical, legal and commercial aspects of the service agreement.

Display a prominent level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, sophisticated, and/or cross-functional problems.

Work in close collaboration with supply chain to coordinate sub supplier contracts.

Work in unison with the new business unit to handle warranty claims from our customer.

Lead all aspects of crafting and sharing project specific lessons learned and eliminating/reducing project Non-Conformance Cost’s.

Ability to travel as business requires for site visits.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree Engineering or Business

  • Experience minimum of at least 5+ years in one of the following: construction, engineering, estimating, contracts management, and or client relations in Transmission Sector. Knowledge of either FACTS or HVDC Service contracts management is strategically vital for the position.

  • Experience with setting up and implementing self-perform work.

  • Record of building and delivery of large service programs.

  • Experience handling contracts valuing at $5M or more, including ownership of tenders, client relations and all other scopes relative to large construction projects.
