Summary

The Funder is responsible ensuring the accuracy of amounts paid to Correspondents for loans purchased. This position reviews 100% of loan files to ensure the accurate and timely purchase of residential mortgage loans.

Essential Job Functions:

• Utilizes automated systems in Lakewood to calculate the final purchase price on all loans purchased.

• Collects and verifies all collateral documents prior to loan purchase, prepares the collateral post funding to ensure timely delivery of the collateral purchased to the designated warehouse banks.

• Validates all pricing components and escrow disbursements to ensure the accuracy of amounts paid to Correspondents as well as data reported to Lakewood.

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Day to Day Functions

• Supporting with different functions for call center and wholesale teams.

• Will start by working in payoff shortage group.

• Later they will be cross trained in funding.

• Responsible for determining what happens in closing or funding that contributed to the shortage.

• Needs someone who can think outside the box.

Looking for:

• Mortgage experience is a must.

• Needs to know how the loan is closed and funded.

• 2+ years of closing experience- funding experience is a plus.

• Excel knowledge- they will be typing reports daily.
