Aspen Dental Division Director of Hygiene Support in Remote, South Carolina

This position requires a valid and active license in dental hygiene.

Division Directors of Hygiene Support partner with the Doctors and field teams in their assigned regions to optimize oral hygiene care delivered to our patients thereby fulfilling our mission to bring America a healthy mouth. Division Directors of Hygiene Support partner with Doctors and Regional Managers (RMs) to assess, hire, train, and develop Dental Hygienists.

  • Conducts visits to assigned regional offices to optimize patient care and increase hygiene production.

  • Assesses office and Dental Hygienist performance; partners with the Doctor and RM to create office improvement plans; guides the office to carry out those plans to completion.

  • Provides guidance and positive models to help Dental Hygienists develop; collaboratively establishes patient care and hygiene production goals; and actively coaches Dental Hygienist to achieve those goals.

  • Partners with Doctors and RM to remove barriers for Dental Hygienist development; advocates for Dental Hygienist to achieve promotional aspirations.

  • Partners with RM to resolve office personnel issues related to hygiene team members.

  • Provides hygiene training for Dental Hygienists, Office Managers, and Doctors.

  • Conducts regional hygiene field meetings with field teams.

  • Partners with Doctors, and RM to assess, select, hire, and on board Dental Hygienists.

  • Participates in monthly conference calls with the Director of Hygiene Services.

  • Conducts monthly conference calls with regional hygiene team.

  • Conducts regional hygiene field meetings with field teams.

To be viewed as a qualified candidate for this position you should possess the following:

  • Licensed and or Registered Dental Hygienist

  • Ability to travel to assigned offices within defined states

  • Manipulate small instruments, supplies, and equipment with efficiency, dexterity, and exceptional eye hand coordination

  • Demonstrated excellence in the execution of their craft and empathy for the patient with a strong business acumen

  • Must leave near a large airport in either Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field

  • Prior dental administrative/leadership experience

  • Adjunct or full-time dental hygiene faculty experience, and/or dental hygiene consulting experience with a proven track record

Aspen Dental-branded practices are independently owned and operated by licensed dentists. The practices receive non-clinical business support services from Aspen Dental Management, Inc., a dental support organization.

** As this position requires daily travel to assigned offices, you must maintain a valid non-restricted driver’s license and appropriate insurance or the ability to be insured under the employer’s fleet insurance program (for those assigned a Company fleet vehicle).
