Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Technician a client in Raleigh metro. You will support service needs with clients in the area (hospitals, airports, industrial, manufacturing). You will have onsite direction and help to get acclimated to the system, but hands-on HVAC mechanical experience is needed, with BAS systems or PLC controls. There is extensive training for this role to learn the companies specific software and programs, but they are looking for someone with mechanical knowledge with a baseline of BAS at the least.

You will:

Load field and network level controller software. Perform commissioning and system diagnostics for all levels of system controllers as well as end devices (i.e. Sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation

Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment

Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation

Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation

Execute company sponsored as well as personally initiated training to insure the highest level of knowledge and capability are maintained

Engage with customers to fully understand their systems and needs

Skills and Requirements

2 + years experience with any BAS: Honeywell, Siemens , Tridium , Trane, Metasys

Logic of BAS, Graphics of BAS

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequence and applications - commercial or industrial

Experience doing VAV Chiller Start up, air handler start up

Any Experience with Relay Logic, or Low voltage

Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields

Able to use hand, power tools and electrical testing equipment such as a multi meter.

Field experience with clients, install or service. Metasys null
