Job Title: Cleanroom Production Operator

Job Description

This is a full-time, hourly position, with twelve-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule. Weekends and holidays are required if scheduled. Shifts will rotate from 2 weeks on day shift (6:00 am to 6:30 pm) to 2 weeks on night shift (6:00 pm to 6:30 am). You will work in a cleanroom environment, wearing head-to-toe PPE, handling the crystallized form of amino acids. You will operate a 12x12 foot machine that dries/crystallizes the product, measure/weigh and dump the product into bins, and move 50 lb drums via rollers to be shipped out.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and maintain an understanding of each part of the cleanroom process and learn the flow of the process and how specific responsibilities impact downstream operations.

  • Begin to learn the theory behind the purification process.

  • Efficiently and timely carry out assigned tasks in support of productivity for the team and department.

  • Assist team members when workload permits or when all assignments have been completed.

  • Participate in daily housekeeping tasks by keeping work areas clean and organized, and complete assigned monthly housekeeping tasks.

  • Retain information provided by the trainer and apply learned knowledge to assigned tasks. Strive to master training tasks in the assigned area within a 6-month timeframe.

  • Follow SOPs and direct instructions from trainers and supervisors.

  • Communicate with the team regarding any production issues or challenges beyond your skill level.

  • Learn and execute required documentation according to cGMP and company policies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

You will work in a cleanroom/manufacturing environment, adhering to strict cleanliness protocols and wearing head-to-toe PPE. Shifts will rotate from day to night every two weeks, and you will be required to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.
