Radford University Coordinator for Student Standards & Conduct in Radford, Virginia

Job Summary:

The Coordinator for Student Standards and Conduct assists in the implementation and administration of the University’s student conduct process; specifically supporting the Director and team in providing leadership and managing process accountability. Serves as conduct officer as appropriate and oversees office assessment functions. Manages database, including record keeping and compliance. The coordinator will assist the office’s outreach and promotion of educational and prevention initiatives for academic integrity to contribute to the quality of a student’s learning experience. This position reports to the Director of Student Standards and Conduct and supervises student assistants.

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of student conduct policies and/or other related University regulations. Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to assess needs and make sound recommendations. Ability to take initiative and balance multiple priorities. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing with all levels of internal and external shareholders. Demonstrated skills in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, Internet, and online automated systems. Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships across campus. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Knowledge of supervisory skills.Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to successfully navigate multicultural issues by creating positive and supportive environments for a diverse campus population.

Preferred Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework of study in Higher Education, Counseling, Social Work, Human Resource Management, or Industrial Psychology or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, abilities. Prior experience in student conduct administration and/or Higher Education. Working knowledge of student development concepts, high risk student behavior, and FERPA . Demonstrated experience working with database systems. Working knowledge of other federal mandates related to student conduct administration.
