An exciting opportunity awaits within the world's leading water technology company. Grundfos Pumps in Australia is seeking the skills of a talented Service Technician to join our friendly, inclusive, and highly inspirational Service Delivery team based in our Luscombe, (Brisbane) office, servicing our customers in Queensland.

The list of activities that the ideal candidate will undertake day to day includes:

  • Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replace parts, reassemble pumps, pump systems, and accessories both in the Workshop and in the field.

  • Upkeep of the workshop and general area.

  • Commissioning and assessment of variable speed drives and motor interfacing, control and monitoring systems.

  • Utilizing App and tablet-based reporting technology to complete tasks, and create lead-generation information for internal sales teams.

  • Assist his/her manager by identifying and providing solutions for service and warranty matters.

  • On complex issues, consult with our specialist in-house technical support staff.

  • Prepare clear and complete service reports and ensure that these are submitted on time and as per the company requirements and format (such as warranty claims, working hours, sales lead generation and fault analysis reports)

  • Register the identified product quality issues in the company systems.

  • Provide feedback on relevant information to the respective stakeholders (sales, operations, customer service centre).

  • Collect technical information from the site for our equipment database.

  • Continues learning and development to build up hands-on service capability and expertise.

  • Works in conjunction with the Grundfos core values and takes responsibility for own actions in addition to looking out for colleagues, partners, and customers.

  • Safety assessment of risks of tasks before commencement of works.

  • Comply with Grundfos, State and Federal OH&S, and EEO laws, legislation, regulations, policies, safety guidelines and procedures. Achieve company objectives, targets and strategies

  • Execute and promote the Grundfos Purpose and Values

The ideal applicant will embody the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience with electrical/mechanical hydraulic systems and/or pumps and rotational equipment.

  • Ideally be a fully qualified Electrical Supervisor/Electrician in Queensland, however, having a ‘restricted’ license (disconnect/reconnect) will also be considered.

  • Must have a full Australian-recognise driver’s license.

  • Experience with pump technology, hydraulics, controls and variable speed drives would bean advantage.

  • Being accountable and reliable, prompt and punctual.

  • Process & outcome focused.

  • High level of communication skills.

  • Experience using information platforms such as SAP, would be an advantage.

  • Experience in using MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Assist in the packing, receiving, shipment and delivery of parts and equipment in the workshop.

  • Be able to operate a forklift / willing to obtain a license.
