DescriptionNERC Compliance Specialist - O&PBrookfield Renewable, US is seeking a NERC Compliance Specialist - O&P to join our National System Control Center (NSCC) team assisting the Manager, Reliability Compliance related to the reliability compliance program, ensuring compliance with Federal and Regional electric system reliability standards (i.e. NERC, NPCC, RFC, SERC, WECC, etc.). The NERC Compliance Specialist - O&P will actively assist with enhancement of reliability compliance programs to meet requirements of an expanding generation and transmission asset base. This position reports to the Manager, Reliability Compliance Manager and is based in Queensbury, New York.Responsibilities:Support reliability compliance policies and procedures under the direction of the Manager, Regulatory ComplianceAssist Compliance Team and regional operations and NSCC compliance activitiesTrack and prepare for changes to NERC StandardsMaintain/implement annual Reliability Compliance schedule/calendar for both generation and transmission assetsEnsure that Compliance deadlines are metWork with Regional Subject Matter Experts to organize and maintain reliability compliance evidence necessary for reporting and audit activities, and create plans for audit preparation and mitigation activitiesMaintain procedure library for NERC Registered Entities as well as electronic document managementManage subscriptions and data input for self-certifications with regional reliability organization compliance portalsProvide training/guidance to operations staff as neededRecommend changes and modifications to programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable reliability standardsAssist with internal and external compliance auditsParticipate in regional reliability organization workshops and seminarsParticipate in Internal Compliance Program (ICP) committees and working groups Requirements BS degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent work experienceExperience in the electric regulatory industry, particularly transmission and/or generationPrevious experience with reliability compliance programStrong knowledge of NERC 693 (O&P) compliance standardsExperience with NERC GO, TO, GOP, TOP functionsBasic knowledge of electrical generation and transmission processesProject Management experience a plusAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities and reliability compliance related urgenciesAbility to respond change positivelyExcellent written and oral communication skillsHighly organized with attention to detail, capable of working in a high-pressure environmentTeam player with ability to work independently and apply individual judgment as required

Minimum Salary: 85,000 Maximum Salary: 115,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
