Founded in 1971 in Long Island City, Queens, LaGuardia Community College is one of seven community colleges of the City University of New York/CUNY. LaGuardia offers more than sixty associate degree and certificate programs, as well as dozens of workforce training, ESOL, GED, and pre-college programs. In 2023, LaGuardia served approximately 25,000 students. More than one-third of our degree-seeking students were born outside of the United States, coming to LaGuardia from 136 countries and speaking forty-three heritage languages. More than half are first-generation college students. Sixty-nine percent live in Queens; the rest live in Brooklyn and beyond. Approximately two-thirds of our degree students receive financial aid. The Director for Enrollment Services is a senior leader within the division of enrollment management, responsible for the execution and oversight of services and operations related to the administrative student experience at LaGuardia Community College. This role requires a highly organized, strategic, and collaborative professional capable of managing complex operations, directing team workflows, and representing the enrollment management division in institutional and system-wide initiatives. The Director of Enrollment Services ensures alignment with the requirements set by the City University of New York (CUNY) and drives operational and student services excellence within the office. This position reports to the Vice President for Enrollment Management.
LaGuardia Community College is the twelfth largest community college in the United States, with nearly 15,000 undergraduate degree seeking students as well as 12,000 adult and continuing education students. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management. The Director of Enrollment Services:
Provides leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive enrollment management plan for LaGuardia Community College in partnership with key campus stakeholders;
Collaborates with all areas to advance LaGuardia's mission and strategic plan as they relate to student enrollment, student retention, and programs that enhance the student experience at the College;
Provides oversight and leadership regarding proactive and comprehensive student service experiences that spans multiple enrollment management functions: Admissions, Financial Aid, One Stop Enrollment Services, Registration Services, Testing, and New Student onboarding to ensure delivery of quality services to all constituents, including prospective and current students, academic and administrative departments, faculty and staff;
Contributes to the development of effective policies and procedures relevant to student enrollment and enrollment service functions. Participate in enrollment and student success committees and task forces at LaGuardia and CUNY;
Develops, implements, and assesses programs and services to produce high-quality results and meet strategic goals. Coordinates activities among different units and with areas outside the College;
Contributes to the overall success of the Division of Enrollment Management by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President for Enrollment Management;
Develops and manages budget and operations for Enrollment Management;
Acts as Divisional point person for academic and student support initiatives in collaboration with Institutional Research, Information Technology, Academic Affairs, and Student Affairs;
Liaises with faculty and professional staff in departments and offices across the College.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required.

Graduate Degree preferred
Strong analytical skills
Strong communications skills
Demonstrated experience in the areas of student success and services in a higher education setting
Operational knowledge of modern student services tools and systems
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Directs a College Enrollment Management function.
Designs, implements and executes an enrollment management plan through research and analysis of enrollment issues, trends, and models; provides leadership in advancing the College's enrollment goals
Develops strategic plans, establishes methods to implement initiatives, measures outcomes and monitors progress to achieve enrollment targets
Partners with appropriate College units to apply coordinated enrollment and retention plans which provide services to students and applicants in an efficient and effective manner
Administers data analyses and reports development related to critical enrollment issues; presents results to facilitate executive decision making
Oversees department budget and advises on allocation of College funds regarding enrollment efforts across other units
Manages professional and clerical staff
Performs related duties as assigned.
