THE POSITION The Director of Business Development, Pharma and Drug Discovery will be instrumental in building collaborations with key opinion leaders, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies globally. This position will create impact throughout the organization working closely with sales, internal technical teams and leadership to drive the innovation and adoption of Parse technologies. IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL: Develop Key pharma account business plans, work with global technical sales and other stakeholders to build key pharma relationships and achieve revenue goals. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including collaborations, partnerships, and potential acquisitions, to expand our presence in the life sciences market. Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets, leveraging industry knowledge and market trends. Build and nurture relationships with key account stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and manage the entire sales cycle to secure partnerships and contracts. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive activities, and potential opportunities for product development or market expansion. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including R&D, marketing, and finance, to align business strategies and ensure successful implementation of initiatives. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to network, promote products/services, and enhance brand visibility. Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management regarding business development activities, progress, and strategies. FOR THIS POSITION, WE LOOK FOR Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or PhD, or related advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of proven experience in business development or sales within the life sciences industry, with a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of life sciences markets, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, or related sectors, with in-depth knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and key players. Strong relationships within the industry and pharma research. Knowledge of Clinical Workflows, a plus Demonstrated expertise in drug discovery workflows with a preference toward oncology and immunology. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders at various organizational levels. Strategic thinking with excellent analytical abilities, capable of identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
