COLSA Corporation Vulnerability Researcher in Quantico, Virginia

Interested in joining our multi-disciplinary digital forensic team to enable and enhance our Department of Justice clients? In your role you will work with multiple teams to design, develop, deploy, maintain, and migrate solutions in multiple environments for national security missions spanning infrastructure development and management, systems engineering, and administrative management which are transforming the way law enforcement and the intelligence community handle and analyze information and translate it into actionable intelligence. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Performing detailed vulnerability assessments from researching secure technologies.

  • Formulating and implementing techniques to recover protected data.

  • Providing written and oral briefings of technical findings.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Basic Quaifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree or higher in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering, mathematics, computer science, computer engineering)

  • 2-7+ years of experience in the field of vulnerability research in the following areas:

  • C programming in Windows and Linux/Unix software development environments;

  • Reverse engineering Windows kernel modules and applications, using IDA Pro, OllyDbg, Windbg, Ghidra, and others;

  • Implementing cryptographic algorithms;

  • Windows device driver development; and

  • Android or iOS application development environments.

  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with SCI/CI polygraph eligibility.

  • Ability to analyze difficult technical problems and develop solutions.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

    Preferred Quaifications

  • Reverse engineering proficiency in embedded environments.

  • Secure storage and secure communication devices, components, or protocols.

  • Component reverse engineering experience.

  • Development of specialized dynamic and static methods designed to accelerate product reverse engineering and the identification of product vulnerabilities.
