Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Reports to MCCS Marketing Project Manager. Responsible for the development, implementation and measurement of strategic alliance and business development initiatives to support vital mission alignment programs and events including. Responsible for establishing the vision for the program, soliciting and maximizing sponsorship and advertising from program assets, ensuring activation of the program and monitoring the success metrics of the program. Works with the MCCS Marketing Project Manger to develop business models for new offerings and optimizing revenue that include sales projections, revenue forecasts. Serves to directly cultivate critical relationships to align the program to the needs of Marine Corps Base Quantico and MCCS leadership. Works with HQ and Installations leadership to ensure alignment of these programs with key business objectives. Works with external vendors, partners and contractors to execute the programs. Will serve as the Contracting Officer Representative and designated signature authority for the commercial sponsorship program. Responsible for developing and executing a business development plan, which includes strategies to increase awareness and revenue among target customers across all lines of business. Develops, negotiates and coordinates sponsorships in accordance with departmental revenue goals by identifying potential partners to support these mission aligned programs. Ensures proper coordination, communication and sales presentation to appropriate operating divisions and military units. Meets with corporations and other non-federal entities to develop partnership, sponsorship and advertising opportunities. Creates proposals, negotiates terms, reviews and approves sponsorship agreements and coordinates staff actions with the appropriate agencies, such as legal counsel. Ensures the development and completion of evaluation/follow-up reports. Monitors and analyzes the on-going effectiveness of business development and mission support programs and offers recommendations to improve performance. In coordination with the MCCS Marketing Project Manager, assist in the planning, organizing, and managing MCCS Signature Events to include coordinating with other MCCS programs and support as well as with Marine Corps Base Quantico. Ensures programs are executed properly, within budget and timeframes. Assists branch head and staff members by performing various marketing, clerical, and administrative tasks as needed. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Bachelor¿s Degree in Marketing or a related field appropriate to the work of position AND three years of experience that demonstrates the ability to conduct business development activities, execute major events, and negotiate terms of a contract, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Must have comprehensive knowledge of marketing theory, research principles, consumer behavior, personal selling success, advertising and related marketing principles and techniques. Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral to solicit commercial sponsorship and negotiate contracts and to write after action reports. Ability to interpret DoD and USMC policies concerning sponsorship agreements and contracts. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and priorities, establish goals and develop plans to meet those goals. Must be proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Must be articulate, have excellent visual communication skills, and be able to persuade and influence without direct authority.
