Description

Robert Half Talent Solutions is representing a leading organization that is seeking a skilled Sr. Accountant in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. This role is centered around the management of daily general ledger accounting, customer invoicing, and bank processes for accounts receivable and payable. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Staff Accountant and support a range of financial activities, including month-end closures and internal and external audit functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily general ledger accounting operations

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

• Create customer invoices upon shipment and manage customer electronic portal systems

• Oversee bank processes for accounts receivable and payable

• Assist the Staff Accountant in conducting monthly bank reconciliations

• Review and rectify customer credits as necessary

• Direct Staff Accountant on handling outstanding receivables and weekly check runs

• Support the completion of payroll entries and upload/post them to QuickBooks

• Maintain vendor forms and credit applications

• Prepare and file monthly sales tax and B& O tax reports

• Support Month End Financials and global reporting requirements, including accruals and GL entries

• Support internal and external audit functions and manage intercompany reconciliations

• Collaborate with purchasing and front office staff on various tasks as required by management.

Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Month End Close Activities is required

• Experience in Automated Payroll is a must

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) is essential

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation is necessary

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a must

• Applicants must be able to lawfully work in the specified location
