News Corp Australia Marketing and Event Coordinator in QLD, Australia

What’s the role?

We are seeking a proactive, exceptionally organised Marketing & Event Coordinator to join our team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for ensuring all event programs excite and engage audiences, while creating memorable experiences that align with News Corp Australia’s strategy.

As a Marketing/Event Coordinator, you will support the implementation of the customer journey across our events, focusing on all aspects of event marketing, planning and execution. This role is perfectly suited to a recent marketing / events graduate with knowledge of the digital landscape and is your opportunity to establish your event marketing and event delivery skills for various brands such as The Courier-Mail, Gold Coast Bulletin and Adelaide Advertiser.

This role is situated within News Corp's dynamic Events and Experiences team. Our experiential programs lie at the core of the brands we represent, forging emotional and memorable connections with our consumers. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and implement of event marketing and communications plans

  • Manage the daily operations of ticketing and registration platforms for brand led marketing events

  • Support and collaborate with the event production team to deliver best-in-class events

  • Administrative tasks as required, including invoice management

  • Assist in sourcing styling options for events

  • Source and coordinate event suppliers

  • Assist in drafting event run sheets in consultation

  • Coordinate MC notes and speaker briefs in consultation with the Marketing and Event Managers

  • Be available for interstate travel for event management approximately 12 times per year

Who are you?

  • A recent marketing and/or events graduate

  • Strong copywriting skills for event eDM campaigns, Post Campaign Reports etc

  • Willingness to accelerate virtual event platform knowledge and learn ticketing systems and processes

  • Have a passion for live events and best-in-class consumer experiences

  • An organised team player with strong attention to detail and time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Possess analytical skills, interprets data and presents a clear picture of the current project state of play

  • UX/CX background and design skills is a bonus
