The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial documents with supporting schedules for Finance and Operations as well as Site Operations and Corporate Finance/Shared Services. This is an outstanding opportunity to be influential and own the financial affairs of the manufacturing site. This position is part of the Finance & Accounting Team and will be located on-site in Putnam, Connecticut.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Partner with the Plant Controller to provide pertinent data to establish operational and financial goal alignment and accountability. This position will be an innovative on-site leader who continually strives for commitment to improvement and excellence in financial reporting.

• Verify, analyze, present/translate the daily/weekly/monthly financial results to site operational team and value stream.

• Contribute to operational improvement ideation, inspire team involvement, and independently lead projects utilizing our Danaher Business System (Six Sigma / Lean) methodology to achieve improvements in operational cost structure, ensure financial controls, and accuracy in reporting and SAP processes.

• Coordinate and prepare the budget/forecast process for site including analysis of the variances to ensure adherence to Pall policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for all functions within the trial balance. Accountable for the completeness and accuracy of internal/external audit of the financial documents and communicate internal controls for the site.

• Partner with Operations to implement standard costing for existing and new products by maintaining a high-level operational understanding of the value streams within the site and all financial components.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

• 8+ years of professional experience working in a manufacturing / plant-based work environment.

• Solid understanding of finance, SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley), accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and reporting systems.

• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to support and collaborate with manufacturing site-based colleagues including the Plant Manager.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel – <10% to Pall sites or locations per business needs.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• CPA / CMA preferred.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
