Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Switchboard Operator in Purchase, New York. As a part of the telecommunication industry, you will serve as the main point of contact for all forms of communication, including phone calls and work order requests.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for incoming calls, efficiently directing them to the appropriate department or individual.

• Handle requests for work orders, ensuring they are properly logged and sent to the correct department.

• Utilize programs such as Outlook, Famous 360, and Zoom to manage and coordinate tasks.

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing queries, and resolving issues in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with the facilities and HR department to ensure smooth operations.

• Serve as a front-facing representative, answering questions and providing information to onsite visitors.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and contribute to a welcoming office environment.

• Ensure all communications and transactions are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Regularly update your knowledge of company operations to provide accurate information and assistance.

• Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Must have previous experience as a Switchboard Operator or in a similar role

• Proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle multiple calls and tasks simultaneously

• Proficiency in using switchboard systems

• Sound knowledge of telephone etiquette

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work under pressure

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
