Philips Test Designer in Pune, India

  • Reviewing product requirements, designs, and product changes from a test point of view and liaising with stakeholders resulting in a testable and maintainable systems and converting requirements into test specifications and tester designs.

  • Cross functional team interactions for – Test activities deliverables, quality inputs for project, timeline discussion, solution discussions and any other support activity

  • Take stand for right quality and hold the ground for valid defects in “Defect management” discussions.

  • Take right decisions during timeline pressure of project and assure that patient safety is not compromised.

  • Creating, reviewing, and optimizing test designs, reusable test protocols, and test procedures to ensure complete functional and non-functional test coverage for multiple projects and/or products concurrently.

  • Developing, executing, and archiving objective, reproducible and maintainable test designs, and test protocols/procedures (for elements, (sub)system integration, functional and non-functional tests), by using test design methods, techniques, and tools.

  • Take ownership on Developing and conducting tests to verify functionality (performance, reliability, safety, security, compliance) based on a risk-based strategy, against the design input requirements and formally reporting the results.

  • Create actionable verification plans, Documenting test plans, protocols, and reports.

  • Prepare and set up the test base in line with the project plan.

  • Liaise with test centers, lab facilities to execute the test plan.

  • Identify improvement opportunities with respect to the Test and Verification proposition and develop actionable proposals to address these.

  • Support test engineers during verification test execution by coordinating with Designers & CFT members with effective communication and also should be able to execute test cases independently. Coordinate analysis and follow-up of complex problems.

  • Daily stand up and follow up for execution status.

  • Create alternate workflows for manual & automation testing.

  • Identify the test scope ( Impacted system requirements , test cases, configurations), sample size & HW/SW tools. Review entry criteria, exit criteria for verification.

  • Should follow good documentation practice for verification documents release & knows about V&V processes.

  • Should be aware of complete product scope (HW & SW)

  • Review Instructions for use from verification, validation, and safety point of view.

  • Review DFMEA, RMM from creating verification test designs & test cases point of view.

  • Ready to support internal & external audits.

  • Create verification test cases for International & country specific regulations /standards when it is required.

You're the right fit if:

  • Batchelor’s degree in Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science.

  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Test and Verification Engineer in an industrial product R&D environment.

  • In-depth knowledge and a proven track record in implementing and applying concepts in test and verification and test management field.

  • Professional in testing and verification process, test design, reusable test protocols and test procedures to ensure complete functional and non-functional test coverage.

  • Guides the selection of the most effective test design techniques. Defines acceptance tests for verification of requirements with shared responsibility for project scope, requirements and risks.

  • Structured approach in planning, test execution and defect identification and closure.

  • Analyses the Test data, Interpret Test results and provide corrective feedback to the development team to make an engineering decision.

  • Stakeholder management within and beyond own team, e.g. functional managers, project manager, systems architects, development engineers.

  • Leadership: Provides guidance and enables development in own team. Mentors junior staff within own team.

  • Motivated, self-driven with a determination to succeed and ability to adapt to change.

  • Good communication skills analytical thinking, physical insight, continuous learning mindset.

  • Excellent reporting and documentation skills.

  • Experience of working in a highly regulated environment or in Medical Device directive is a plus.

  • Extensive test skills (test techniques, test tooling).

  • Knowledge of software / hardware architecture, development

  • Knowledge of interfaces

  • Knowledge of norm compliance , regulations.

  • Knowledge of V&V process
