Philips Test and Verification Engineer in Pune, India

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be part of a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled technical specialists working on Test and Verification Engineering. The projects can cover every phase of the product life cycle, from development, manufacturing and its maintenance.

You will be mainly involved in developing innovative (automated) test solution projects the part of the role is also involved in execution of test method and protocols and reporting of tests.

In your role, you will work with together with Test architects, the SW architects (automation) and other T&V Engineers from within our own organization as well as from our Business (internal customers) organization.

You are responsible for :-

  • Deliver Assignments/projects in design, development of Automated test equipment and or test tool creation.

  • support / Develop software for controlling test equipment and analysing test results.

  • Utilize modern programming languages and frameworks to enhance test automation and data management capabilities.

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for APIs.

  • Develop and conduct integration testing and verification activities of (elements of) products with focus on electrical , electronics, mechatronics and (embedded) software aspects and concludes this with formal reporting.

  • Developing, executing, and documenting test protocols against the test requirements by using established test methods, techniques and tools.

  • Take ownership on developing and conducting tests to verify functionality (performance, reliability, safety, security, compliance)

  • Analyzing and post-processing of measurement data by using statistical techniques ( Minitab)

  • Setting up and maintaining both large and small scale system testing

  • Lead and execute Process Validation (IQ /OQ /PQ)

You are a part of

The Test and Verification Engineering team which is part of the Quality and Reliability engineering department of Innovation Engineering and is a diverse group of more than 25 technical experts.

All have extensive experience in the field of test and verification strategy definition, requirement engineering and/or test automation and are actively supporting complex, innovative projects for Philips businesses as our internal customers, located all over the world.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for a Sr Test engineer with following characteristics:

  • Batchelor’s or Masters degree in electronics, Electrical, mechatronics engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in R&D area or manufacturing in Test automation, test designing and execution.

  • Experience in LabVIEW /Test Stand , MATLAB , scripting languages /Technologies as Python, C#, VB Script, SQL, Basics of JavaScript

  • Experience with test & measurement hardware such as Function Generator, signal analyzers, automated test systems, NI Hardware as cDAQ,cRIO etc.

  • Experience in Industrial automation protocols like Ethernet, S232,RS485,MODBUS, CAN

  • Professional in Execution of detail test plan.

  • Excellent documentation skills.

  • Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.

  • Problem-solving skills to create innovative and effective testing solutions.

  • Structured approach in planning, test execution and defect identification and closure.

  • Open to travel at different sites on an occasional basis

  • Knowledge of health tech systems, including medical device standards and regulatory requirements is plus

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good to have

  • Reviewing product requirements, designs and product changes from a test point of view and converting requirements into test specifications and tester designs.

  • Participating in the development of design specifications and verification test plans.
