Supply planning Coordinator

Cummins is seeking a highly motivated Supply planning Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for determining the quantity and order date for materials needed to meet the master production schedule or independent customer demand. Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

• Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.

• Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.

• Engage in HSE training.

Quality

• Follow applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.

• Perform quality checks on material planning master data (lead time, order quantities, etc.).

• Work with Quality to disposition non-conforming material.

Delivery

• Execute supply plan releases with assigned strategic or complex suppliers.

• Participate in allocation calls to understand constraints.

• Collaborate with suppliers to reduce lead time and order quantities.

• Manage part change requests and ramp-up/ramp-down activities.

• Reconcile order boards for critical suppliers, parts, and past due orders.

• Support Deliver Supplier Improvement Process initiative.

• Provide accurate, timely updates on inventory availability and backorder recovery plans.

• Take ownership of delivery of supplier schedules to meet end Customer needs.

Teamwork

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.

• College, University, or equivalent degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.

• May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

• Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control.

• Ability to work night shift (5 PM to 2 AM).

• Hybrid work schedule: Tuesday to Thursday (Work from office).
