Sourcing Manager Industrial Business SPT

Description

Conduct complex analysis of markets, supply chains, and supply base.

Apply analysis to sourcing process improvement initiatives.

Identify qualified suppliers and execute sound source selection processes.

Maintain regular interface with suppliers and manage supplier relationships.

Understand and apply key purchasing principles to assure supply.

Source specialized items and execute complex sourcing strategies at optimum cost, quality, and relationship levels.

Independently carry out sourcing activities with consideration for end-to-end supply chain impact.

Execute sourcing tactics according to established category/commodity strategies.

Participate in sourcing and category commodity strategy formulation.

Analyze complex sourcing and purchasing initiatives for cost-effective and high-quality goods/services.

Prepare and present improvement recommendations to senior leadership.

Ensure consistent application of sourcing procedures and processes.

Support purchasing/sourcing management in various activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, industry analysis, etc.

Lead analysis projects/initiatives and provide coaching to less experienced team members.

Negotiate select contracts and develop effective relationships with suppliers.

Understand and comply with compliance requirements and risk management related to sourcing activities.

Experience and Education:

College, university, or equivalent degree in a relevant field.

Intermediate level of related work experience required.

Experience in Rail Electrification and associated products preferred.

Good knowledge of technology products and supplier ecosystems.

Strong negotiation skills.

Additional Information:

Travel up to 30% may be required.

Collaborate with various departments such as Suppliers, Marketing/Sales, Engineering, SQIE, SCM, and Finance.
