About the job:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to Pulse, a key workstream within UXE focused on increasing visibility and improving compliance for our platforms, applications, and services. Pulse enhances transparency, observability, and compliance across UXE to ensure our digital interactions reflect Red Hat’s standards of excellence.
As a Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain services that surface critical insights into UXE’s technology portfolio, helping to drive performance, stability, and compliance improvements. You will work closely with engineers, product teams, and leadership to develop observability and compliance frameworks, integrate with Backstage and Red Hat Developer Hub, and ensure that UXE’s platforms meet enterprise-grade operational and security requirements.
What will you do?
Develop and maintain services that provide visibility into UXE-owned platforms, applications, and services
Enhance observability, compliance tracking, and audit capabilities within Pulse
Integrate with Backstage and Red Hat Developer Hub to improve UXE’s internal developer experience
Design and implement APIs, dashboards, and automation to improve insights into service health, compliance, and performance
Work with internal teams to standardize compliance and audit requirements across UXE
Optimize and evolve internal libraries, design systems, and pattern frameworks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align Pulse with business objectives
What will you bring?
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerized environments
Experience in data visualization and analytics for observability tools
Previous contributions to open-source projects or developer portals
