The team you will be a part of

The Software Engineering team designs, develops or coordinates development/troubleshooting or debugging of moderately complex software programs for enhancements and new products. Performs high-level design/modeling to convert stakeholder needs into software solutions. Develops software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Develops the architectural guidelines, specifications, and technical standards and communicates to stakeholders.

We are looking for a talented software engineer to be part of an advanced software development team within the global Electronics organization at Whirlpool. You will be part of the global team that is responsible for developing software for all Whirlpool products.

Android OS Framework Engineer-

Working with partners to develop and deliver Android OS (AOSP) Framework components / services

Your responsibilities will include

Educational Qualifications- B.Tech-MTech/ Master Degree on Electrical / Electronic Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Mechatronics etc.

Experience Required- 6 to10 years

Skill-

Android OS Framework Engineer-

• Advanced Knowledge in C++

• +1 year of experience working with Android OS software at the AOSP Framework layer

• Experience debugging/developing Android (AOSP) Framework Services

• 3+ years of experience in overall embedded software development

Job Details-

• Be a key member of the team that is responsible for designing and developing software platforms using Android, Linux, or RTOS environments to support rapid innovation and product development

• Take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining significant software components at system software or middleware layers

• Working with partners to develop and deliver Android OS (AOSP) Framework components / services

• Work in an Agile environment

• Good knowledge of the Linux stack and kernel

• Good knowledge of bootloader, hardware interfaces, and driver development Experience in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth driver development

• Experience working in Linux including work in one or major subsystems within the OS

• Experience with debuggers such as gdb, lldb, etc.

• Experience working within the Android development environment including with Android Android NDK or Application

• Familiarity with standard hardware protocols (USB, UART, SPI, I2C, PCIe, MIPI, HDMI, DDR)
