Citigroup Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 - C10 - PUNE in Pune, India

The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for investigating and resolving transaction breaks originating from trading desks and relating to SFTR Reporting in coordination with the Regulatory Operations Team, Middle Office, Technology and Trading Desks. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the accuracy of SFTR Reporting for the Bank's Agency Lending product offering to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate investigations of discrepancies between Agency lending positions and those of external Brokers.

  • Identify root cause of breaks and resolve issues with internal partners from Regulatory Ops, Technology, Middle Office and Trading, and make process improvement recommendations to leadership.

  • Analyze trends within the daily workflow to reduce differences on an ongoing basis.

  • Contribute to Management Reporting and Tracking to measure progress for both escalation purposes and overall monitoring.

  • Escalate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution

  • Design and analyze moderately complex reports, in coordination with standards set by direct leadership

  • Assist with control activities, and the launch of new products and services

  • Ensure processes adhere to audit and control policies

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience

  • Fundamental understanding of Equity products, accounting and regulatory policies

  • Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance
