Emerson MSS Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert in PUNE, India

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert to lead our efforts in safeguarding critically important measurement and control solutions. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind defining, designing, and implementing robust cybersecurity solutions for our hydrocarbon custody transfer engineered solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the integrity and security of our clients' valuable assets and data

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Serve as the global authority on cybersecurity within the MSS business unit, providing guidance to local and global teams.

  • Develop comprehensive cybersecurity strategies tailored to the unique challenges of hydrocarbon measurement and custody transfer systems.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate security measures into our product design and development lifecycle.

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of our systems and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Design and implement sophisticated cybersecurity architectures that align with industry standards (e.g., IEC 62443) and client-specific requirements.

  • Lead the development of security policies, procedures, and standard methodologies for our engineered solutions.

  • Provide experienced consultation to clients on cybersecurity matters, addressing their concerns and requirements.

  • Stay abreast of emerging threats and technologies in industrial cybersecurity, ensuring our solutions remain at the pioneering.

  • Supply to proposal development, ensuring accurate scoping and pricing of cybersecurity components.

  • Deliver training and workshops to internal teams and clients on cybersecurity standard processes in industrial control systems

  • Ensuring systems are properly budgeted and proposals provide clarity for the scope / BOM envisaged to internal collaborators as well as clients.

  • Reviewing and updating the cybersecurity portions of Functional Design Specifications.

  • Ensuring systems are properly configured, optimized, and assessed during execution stage.

  • Review and provide solution for customer’s security procedures and concepts.

  • Train users on supported security products and procedures.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants with customers in developing best practices and security standards.

  • Provide recommendations and seek alignment from the Emerson Enterprise Cybersecurity Team

Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years on Industrial Control System (ICS) and SCADA environment. Working as a cybersecurity professional with specific expertise in Industrial control system security. In-depth understanding of cybersecurity standard relevant to the oil and gas industry (e.g.IEC62443, NIST SP 800-82).

  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, SIEM solutions, NSM, whitelisting, patch management, etc.

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GICSP are a plus

  • Experience and knowledge of defense in depth, trust levels, privileges, and permissions.

  • Experience with Emerson DeltaV, Movicon and Plant web solutions is highly desirable

  • Analytical thinking ability and good teammate.

  • Suggesting and implementing improvements to the processes

  • Familiarity with hydrocarbon measurement principles and custody transfer operations is highly desirable.
