Description

Ensures products received or produced meet technical specifications. Works under moderate supervision.

Verifies the final quality of products on the production line.

Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects.

Separates products that do not have the desired technical specification, using basic and/or complex measurement techniques and equipment.

Documents products that do not meet technical specifications using specified systems.

Trains others in the use of measurement equipment, segregation of non-conforming product and documentation.

Follows the norms and standards of quality defined by the Company.

Laboratory Management - Leads technical resources while managing the business aspects of a laboratory using measure to control both the technical and business aspects of the organization and assuring the requirements of the appropriate certifications and/or accreditations are met.

Quality Process Management - Applies and manages methods (e.g. SPC, Capability studies, Layered Process Audit, inspection, test) to ensure quality of Cummins products, processes, and services.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.

1. Knowledge of entire range of engine models and its applications including parts, performance and technical nomenclature with reference to engineering standards & service bulletin.

2. Engine assembly / Tear down skills – Can perform tear down & rebuild of all models from any stage with due knowledge of NEBS & respective SMB constraints.

3. Measurement & Inspection – Carried out require and critical measurement of engine components during assembly & tear down.

4. Auditor & Training abilities - Making sense of reported / find out quality issue by performing deep investigation skill.

5. Data Reporting - Prepares documentation in a manner which clearly organizes and presents audit observations.

6. Arrange tore down component review of audit engine with CFT in the section.

7. Support to PHP plant for engine audit & failure investigation.

8. Rectification & quality issue analysis of various customer quality & PSPU engine.

9. Knowledge of EQA Quality Procedures & Check sheets for stated activity.
