Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Global MTCS Procurement Activities Management: Overseeing global MTCS procurement & sourcing activities across various categories such as direct and indirect material, services, and logistics. This involves sourcing & identifying suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring that all ordering processes adhere to established sourcing & purchasing procedures.

  • Sourcing Initiatives & management: Supporting MTCS global sourcing efforts in exploring new channel to achieve cost-effectiveness and negotiate the best terms and conditions in collaboration with stakeholders. This includes managing & supporting competitive bidding processes, e-Auctions, and analyzing cost breakdowns to drive cost reduction activities.

  • Sulzer Excellence Initiative of Supply Chain: Coordinating and supporting various CT & MTCS procurement initiatives among initiative teams, PMO and consulting firm to ensure & drive of the best approach, direction, and success of Sulzer Excellence initiatives.

  • Sulzer Digi Procurement: Coordinating and supporting global CT & MTCS procurement & supply chain in executing and maintaining of good quality and usage of Sulzer Digi Procurement, as well of improvement proposal and fulfillment.

  • Performance Tracking and Improvement: Reviewing, establishing & monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement & sourcing and working with stakeholders to identify actions necessary for achieving targets.

  • Material market intelligence: Establish the system, approach & process to links the material market & nickel price with MTCS global material price & trend, including of trend and alert monitoring.

  • SCM Relationship Management: Establish, maintain, identify, negotiate with, and manage strong relationships with suppliers, internal customers around the world to ensure continuity of supply, competitive options, and high-quality standards. Conduct regular performance evaluations and addressing any issue or concerns, coordinate with supplies and internal functions to identify cost-saving opportunities, drive continuous improvement.

  • Supply Chain Support Management: Supporting global supply chain activities by understanding global supply chain dynamics and best practices, contributing to the development and implementation of supply chain & procurement strategies that align with the organization's broader goals, including ensuring that all ordering processes adhere to established purchasing procedures.

  • Risk Mitigation and Contingency Planning: Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and procurement process and developing contingency plans to mitigate these risks. This includes diversifying the supplier base, maintaining strategic inventory levels, and establishing alternative sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity.

  • Compliance and Ethical Standards: Supporting in ensuring that procurement activities comply with legal requirements and ethical standards for maintaining the company's reputation and avoiding legal and financial penalties. This includes responsible for support in implementing and enforcing compliance policies, conducting due diligence on suppliers, and ensuring that all procurement practices meet internal and external regulatory standards.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor or above, majoring in Mechanical or Supply chain related preferred, along with relevant experience in supply chain management & procurement management role.

  • 8 years in supply chain management & procurement management relevant.

  • Analytical mindset with a proficiency in data-driven decision-making and a good grasp of procurement-related software, such as SAP systems, e-auctions and Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent negotiation, networking, project management, and interpersonal skills, with an ethical and compliance-oriented approach to supply chain & procurement practices.

  • Good English communication skills as the role require interaction with international internal & external stakeholders.

  • Frequent travel might be required.
