Job Description

Stantec is a leader in global infrastructure, water resource development, Buildings, Mining, Power and Dams, Substations, Industrial projects and Oil and Gas providing engineering design and remediation, construction, procurement, program management, and technology solutions for the environmental, water, wastewater, energy, and power markets along with industrial sectors of the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific region.

Stantec is looking for Electrical Engineer who can contribute to the ongoing growth of Stantec Resource Net India Private Ltd by providing technical expertise in Electrical discipline, as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering conceptual design, outline design, detailed design and construction support for Substation design and Engineering experience related to AIS & GIS.

The role also requires supporting Senior and Principal Engineers by providing technical expertise to ensure that project outcomes in terms of profit, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and Stantec expectations.

Person Specifications:

Specific Experience:

• Bachelor/ master’s degree in electrical engineering.

• Experience in Electrical Substation for Both AIS & GIS Stations, Renewable energy.

• Experience in with balance of plant related activities such as Sub-station, Material handling.

• Experience in Co-ordination with Customer and Suppliers.

• Experience in System Studies & Primary, Secondary Knowledge in substation design.

• Experience in Electrical Equipment sizing, Cable sizing.

• Experience in preparation of Bill of Material for Complete Substation with proper. Components / Equipment selection as per Customer Specification and Requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Electrical equipment sizing, calculations, and selection

• Lighting and earthing Calculation

• Preparation of technical specifications, reports, schedules, data sheets and deliverables

• Preparation of General Arrangement drawings

• Complete Control Building and GIS Building Design

• Preparation/review of Bid analysis & Vendor/Supplier documents Review

• Condition assessment

• Preparation of Bill of Quantities

• Conduit development

• Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor/management,

• Need to work off-hours for client co-ordination: Occasionally

• Need to travel offshore for training / on-site work: Occasionally
