Join Pitney Bowes as a Cloud & Network Security Engineer

The Job

Contribute to Pitney Bowes Hybrid Cloud Security Architectures.

  • Design and develop security architecture for cloud and cloud/hybrid-based systems

  • Design or implement Controls or improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards or policies either within the Enterprise or in our Hybrid Cloud

  • Ensure the security and compliance of the cloud environment based on enterprise cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Conduct Security Product evaluation and POCs.

  • Develop standards in partnership with Engineering, Infrastructure Services, and Application Development.

  • Assess new Business Initiatives to identify possible security risks.

  • Discuss emerging Security issues with IT leadership and Business Partners.

  • Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes

Conduct cloud-hosted application Security Reviews and assist application teams in improving their security practices:

  • Collaborate with engineering and application teams to evaluate Existing Security controls using existing standards and threat modeling.

  • Assess Product for Security issues and develop architectural recommendations or risk mitigation strategies

  • Collaborate with engineering and application teams to design adequate network control Policies. 

  • Enforce company Policies as they relate to Engineering and the Service Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Identify Security issues that require follow-up or investigation

*ITSM Processes (Including Changes and Incidents). *

  • Review proposed changes that could impact PB security posture or/and violate security policies.

  • Act as a point of contact/SME and provide support to other IT and product teams when responding to incidents in the Cloud.

  • Conduct or direct the internal investigation of Security issues as they relate to Pitney Bowes developed Software

  • Collaborate with Engineering organizations to monitor enforcement of cloud security standards and regulations

Qualifications & Skills required

  • An experienced Cloud Security practitioner with hands-on experience in Cloud/hybrid-based systems (AWS/GCP/Microsoft Azure/VMware) and SaaS

  • Strong background in security architecture, security design, and defining security frameworks for the enterprise

  • Strong working knowledge of Cloud security and CSPM tool

  • Strong understanding of Network security, system/application security, and data security

  • Strong working knowledge of IT risks, cyber security, and cloud workloads.

  • Advanced understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and cloud security.

  • Hands-on experience with network/security devices: FortiGate, Cisco, Palo Alto, Panorama, NSX and rule management

  • Hands-on experience leveraging infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Cloud formation) and/or Python scripting for managing firewalls.

  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure to enforce policies and reduce risk, they need the ability to persuade others to adhere to standards.

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field

  • An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations

  • Excellent communication skills

  • VMWare Certified Technical Associate – Security

  • VMWare NSX-T Datacenter Security

  • Microsoft Information Protection Administrator

  • Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
