Custodian 2 Available Title(s): 678J-YNCSNPS - Custodian 2 Business Title: Custodian 2 Employee Type: Classified Time Type: Full time Position Term: 12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties: This position is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the WSU Wenatchee Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to: cleaning windows, mirrors, handrails, cabinets, fountains, machines/equipment, restrooms; vacuuming/shampooing carpets and mats; sweeping/mopping/waxing floors and stairs; securing buildings; performing minor carpentry and electrical repairs; cleaning and painting surfaces; performing minor repairs on electrical circuits, plumbing fixtures, lights, partitions, and clogged drains; assisting with snow removal around facilities; replacing light bulbs; and performing other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: • The ability to do required work, the ability to read and write AND six months • experience in custodial, general or building maintenance, grounds keeping, or semiskilled carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing repair work; OR equivalent education/experience. • Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with https:///policies.wsu.edu/prf/index/manuals/safety-policies-procedures-manual/sppm-7-10/ and departmental driving standards. Preferred Qualifications: • Ability to physically perform the essential functions of the job; ability to communicate effectively; demonstrate attention to detail; proven ability to read and write English.
