General Responsibilities

The Applications Analyst is responsible for consulting with users/clients to gather information about application needs, objectives, functions, features, input, and output requirements, and make recommendations.

General Responsabilities:
• Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
• Creates test transactions, runs tests to find errors, and confirms applications meet specifications.
• Provides technical assistance to internal and external clients by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or issues with applications.
• Installs and tests applications in the designated environment.
• Administers and monitors the performance of applications after implementation.

Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related.
• At least two (2) years of experience in application development or administration.
• Experience in Mainframe administration or operation.
• Previous experience working with BMC's Control Applications and report Distribution Applications, or related. 

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Knowledge of Mainframe and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to write technical instructions.
• Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
• Knowledge of web application servers and web server configuration and tuning.
• Ability to analyze complex problems.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
• Solid communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and oral. 

Additional Information

Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm 

Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
