The Operations and Advancement division oversees a strategic selection of campus enterprises and responsibilities, including Facilities Management; the campus physical plant and construction; Parking and Safety; Auxiliary Services; Hispanic Serving Institution Initiatives, Marketing, Communications & Community Relations; and the Denver-based Advancement team. This diverse portfolio allows the teams to imagine long-term partnerships; support a campus master planning initiative; establish new fundraising opportunities as long-term drivers for new and evolving academic and student experiences; to develop meaningful relationships and pipelines with alumni graduates; and to message and share CSU Pueblo’s statewide engagement and impact to stakeholders in Denver and beyond. Description of Job

The Safety Compliance and Clery Manager serves as the chief administrator of institutional Clery Act Compliance. This full-time position is responsible for all aspects of preparing and distributing the Annual Safety and Security Information Report and Fire Safety Report, as well as maintaining its requisite and thorough audit trail. Reporting to the Director of Campus Safety, the Safety Compliance and Clery Manager works collaboratively with various offices at CSU Pueblo to ensure the institution’s compliance with the annual report and associated regulations. Responsible for reviewing and processing Public Safety reports on a daily basis and maintaining the daily crime log for campus. Assists the Director of Campus Safety with special projects as requested. This position must ensure that the Clery report is reviewed annually, and any necessary changes are made to remain compliant. The position is also the main administrative support person for the Director of Campus Safety.

Primary Duties

CLERY COMPLIANCE

  • Supports the Clery Act Compliance program for CSU Pueblo.

  • Develops, reviews and updates policies and procedures related to the Clery Act.

  • Develops and completes the annual Campus Safety and Security Information Report and Fire Safety Report

  • Submits annual crime statistics to the Department of Education as required.

  • Reviews pending changes to the Clery Act and other laws or regulations affecting Clery Act provisions and implements any changes.

  • Manages, reviews, and edits incident reports and assigns the proper Clery crime category on a daily basis.

  • Manages, maintains and updates entries for the Daily Crime and Fire Log and ensures that the log is printed on a daily basis.

  • Maintains records and documentation related to Clery Act compliance.

  • Processes and analyzes student travel forms to ensure Clery compliance.

  • Attends frequent meetings with CSU Pueblo General Counsel.

  • Completes Clery training annually; maintains record of Clery training completed by campus personnel.

BUDGET AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:

  • Prepares and manages the annual Clery budget, including forecasting expenses and monitoring expenditures.

  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities through efficiency improvements.

SUSTAINABILITY INIATIVES:

  • Monitors Clery training platform for CSU Pueblo, staff and faculty.

  • Provides training programs for campus safety personnel.

  • Works with EH&S and the Campus Safety Office to organize events and training that focus on both campus safety and sustainability.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all Clery-related inquiries and requests from faculty, staff, and students.

  • Identifies and designates CSU Pueblo faculty and staff as campus security authorities and provides annual campus security authority training.

  • Creates a Campus Clery Committee which will involve multiple campus partners; coordinates associated monthly meetings and training.

DIRECTOR OF CAMPUS SAFETY ASSISTANCE

  • Coordinates and assists with Campus Safety Director for campus safety trainings and critical incident drills.

  • Works collaboratively with the EH&S department on campus-related safety initiatives.

  • Works with EH&S to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations to include fire drills for all campus buildings.

  • Acts as liaison for the Campus Safety Director and Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office to provide timely warnings and emergency notifications to the CSU Pueblo Campus.

Work Study Supervisor

  • Hires, trains, schedules and supervises work study/hourly students. Sets up new work schedules each semester. Monitors hourly time sheets, sick and annual leave. Reviews and evaluates work performance for employee retention, raises or dismissal.

Salary Range

$58,000 - $67,000

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Computer Skills including experience with MS Office Systems

  • Experience in a position or activity where it was necessary to maintain confidentiality
