Pay Range: $32 - $40 per hour

Season Schedule: 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off

What does Brice Equipment LLC do?

Brice Equipment provides arctic-grade equipment and support services to the oil and gas, and construction industries on the North Slope, Cook Inlet and throughout Alaska. Brice Equipment currently hosts a fleet of more than 400 pieces of equipment, ranging from heavy construction machinery to mobile support equipment. What can you expect?

As the Service Writer, you will maintain accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service departments operation within the company. You will assure that all charges related to work orders are posted properly and make sure all work orders are closed on a timely basis. You will also process warranty and Product Improvement Claims. You also must conduct yourself in the presence of customers in a manner that promotes a positive image of the company.

How will you do it?

  • Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager and maintain control until closed and invoiced.
  • Create and maintain equipment rental contracts.
  • Track and account for equipment rentals for major projects as directed.
  • Handle repair order charges, warranty validation and claims coverages including computation of charges, submission and follow-up.
  • Maintain the service library with information that is current.
  • File bulletins, manuals, and video tapes under the direct supervision of the Service Manager.
  • Handle service department filing and records.
  • Update customer profiles using equipment, hours or other information from the customer work orders.
  • Assist in handling customer complaints and concerns.
  • Greet customers immediately in a courteous manner.
  • Treat customers fairly and with honesty and demonstrate our commitment to superior customer service and ethical business practices.
  • Support the companys priority of a safe working environment by participating in safety training and regular meetings as well as constantly monitoring the work environment for safety hazards.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Knowledge of construction equipment parts and supply.
  • Ability to operate standard business computer utilizing business applications; knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite and TEXADA software

Who is Brice Equipment LLC looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid state drivers license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Brice Equipments Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass a drug, driving and background screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years previous experience as a Service Writer preferred.
  • Two years previous experience working in Prudhoe Bay/North Slope preferred.
  • Current NSTC certification preferred.
