The Fitness team of the Provo City Recreation division is looking for high-performing, energetic individuals to fill the role of Fitness Instructor in various formats. Individuals interested in supporting the services provided to Provo City citizens by performing the duties described herein are invited to apply.

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour and up, depending upon qualifications.
Essential Duties:
Conduct unique and quality workout classes in assigned fitness format(s) that motivate and keep patrons safe.
Assist recreation staff as needed and perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:
Sufficient knowledge of the format in which you are applying to teach (i.e. aerobics, kickboxing, Pilates, yoga, fitness, gymnastics, language, martial arts, dance, art, music, etc.).
Current related fitness and CPR certifications.
Physical ability required to perform the duties of the job.
Preference may be given to applicants with previous fitness instructing experience.
Hours: Hours and schedule are flexible based on department need and are subject to change. All positions are part time.
Physical/Environmental Factors : This position requires bending, stooping, stretching, and occasionally lifting objects that weigh up to 50lbs. May involve interactions with members of the public in tense situations.
Pre-employment Testing: Prior to appointment, applicant will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
